The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a shift in mentality, highlighted by defensive grit and standout bench performances. Discover how key players are fueling this potent transformation.

Spencer German and Spencer Davies analyze the Cleveland Cavaliers' win over the Detroit Pistons at Rocket Arena, getting rest before the Boston Celtics, and more in the latest episode of Courtside with Cavs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 113-109 on Tuesday night in a rematch of an overtime thriller just a few days beforehand in Motown. Now, the wine and gold have a few days to rest and practice to prepare for the Boston Celtics.

Topics of the latest show include the following:

- Did the Cavs' beating the Pistons without Donovan Mitchell serve as a statement? If the two Central Division rivals meet in the postseason, we could be in for a thrilling series with some bad blood.

- Jaylon Tyson's acceptance of his new role is admirable because, when Cleveland needs him to do more, he is always producing. Despite the wine and gold having a veteran team, head coach Kenny Atkinson has to ensure Tyson gets significant minutes.

- Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis have brought a different type of focus and edge on the defensive end of the floor, and each has changed the Cavs' attitude as a whole. All that attention from the trade deadline goes to James Harden, but these guys are game-changers.

- It's high time Thomas Bryant gets the credit he deserves. He is excelling in his role off the bench, providing energy and making shots. The veteran big man is crashing the glass and using his strength to be a deterrent as well.

- Evan Mobley is moving well again, which bodes well for Cleveland. Figuring out where he can help the most offensively will be key down the stretch now.

- Paying close attention to the Eastern Conference standings, there are only a handful of games left for the Cavs against quality opponents. It's almost that time of year in the regular season when contending teams are just waiting for the playoffs to start, or they're beginning to evaluate what the future holds.
