Analyzing a frustrating loss to the Boston Celtics, Spencer German and Spencer Davies dissect the Cleveland Cavaliers' second-quarter collapse and Boston's unsung heroes.

Spencer German and Spencer Davies analyze the Cleveland Cavaliers' 109-98 loss to the Boston Celtics in a too-little-too-late effort at Rocket Arena in the latest episode of Courtside with Cavs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers put themselves at too large a disadvantage against the Boston Celtics in the second quarter, not having enough to climb all the way back to victory at Rocket Arena on Sunday afternoon in a 109-98 defeat.

Topics of the latest show include the following:

- The Cavs were embarrassingly awful in the second quarter, going 4 of 25 from the field and missing all 14 of their three-point attempts in a 10-point period. What did the Celtics do to stifle their attack? Why was it too much to overcome at home?

- Boston should not be taken lightly, no matter who is on the court. Although Jayson Tatum made his return and Jaylen Brown had a solid performance, it was the Celtics' supporting cast that made the biggest difference.

- Guys like Neemias Queta, Baylor Scheierman, and Sam Hauser deserve their credit. Cleveland defended pretty well and got stops when needed, keeping the game clean in the turnover department and doing a decent job of contesting, but the Celtics made their possessions count more.

- It was a poor performance for the Cavs' bench on Sunday, getting outscored 41-13. It shows the importance of having Jarrett Allen available, as Cleveland's minutes at the 5 behind Evan Mobley weren't particularly great.

- Mobley, on the other hand, looked solid against the Celtics from tipoff. If it weren't for him and Donovan Mitchell, who looked his usual part in his first game since Feb. 24, the wine and gold would've been in an even bigger world of trouble. The supporting cast picked a bad afternoon to all play below par, while Boston's did the opposite.

- For a team that made significant tweaks at the trade deadline, it wasn't the best of games for James Harden, Dennis Schroder, or Keon Ellis. What does a blowout loss to Boston mean now and for later? Can the Cavs learn anything from a game like this?
