The Cleveland Cavaliers are ready for their NBA playoff opener against the Toronto Raptors. Spencer German and Spencer Davies analyze the group's expectations and how the series might unfold.

Before the Cleveland Cavaliers open their 2026 NBA playoffs against the Toronto Raptors, Spencer German and Spencer German were live from the practice facility for their latest episode of Courtside with Cavs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are one sleep away from opening their postseason at Rocket Arena, hosting the Toronto Raptors on Saturday at 1 p.m. to officially tip off the league's playoff slate.

With a week full of practice to gel and heal their nicks and bruises, the Cavs are planning to turn up the intensity and focus at the most important time of year.

Toronto is a team that has had plenty of success against them, with a 3-0 record, but it's hard to draw any conclusions from those games because the meetings happened when both squads were much different.

Cleveland is banking on its maturity to change the calculus during this run, with the whole locker room noting the critical nature of James Harden and Dennis Schroder's experience.

Topics of the latest show include the following:

- The Cavs understand what their expectations are, both internally and externally. Even if some do feel there is pressure on them, they're treating it as a positive and as a sign of the group doing something right. It won't be seen as a burden, but rather, a challenge. Spencer German also asks who in Cleveland is carrying the burden of noise individually.

- Can the Wine and Gold buck the many pessimistic narratives that surround the team? Kenny Atkinson commented on that this week, sharing that his bunch needs to double down on its identity instead.

- James Harden and Donovan Mitchell partnering in Cleveland's backcourt should serve as a mutual benefit. For so many years, each has had to assume the alpha role. Now, by each other's side, the All-Star guards won't have the weight of the world on their shoulders.

- What stands out about the Cavs' matchup with the Raptors? Spencer Davies analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of both teams' style of play. Cleveland will have several key areas to focus on against a swarming Toronto squad, which has an X-factor on its bench that the Wine and Gold have to be aware of.

- Both hosts make their official predictions for the upcoming Cavs-Raptors series and detail their reasoning. How is this matchup going to unfold?
