Dive into the Cavaliers' therapeutic week, film sessions, and player-driven discussions shaping their path forward with the latest episode of Courtside with Cavs.

Spencer German and Spencer Davies bring you a fresh episode of Courtside with Cavs, detailing a much-needed week at Cleveland Clinic Courts and what is ahead for the wine and gold.

Topics of the show include the following:

  • The Cleveland Cavaliers are 14-11 and sitting in the Play-In Tournament as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference as of Dec. 12. The good news is that the wine and gold were able to practice this week, something the team hasn't done since Nov. 4 this season because of a stacked schedule of games. What did the time bring them? Is this reset going to work?
  • Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson got into the team in a tell-all film session on Tuesday. He started with the "best players" to send a message and went down from there. What did they all discover when reviewing the tape? Is there a specific area that the squad has to be better at? Are there tactical changes coming, or is it simply an awareness ordeal?
  • After the film room, Cleveland's players called a meeting among themselves to emphasize important topics. What was discussed? Is it concerning that it's only mid-December and the wine and gold are holding talks like this? What stands out to them more than the coaching staff's priorities?
  • Evan Mobley has been looking more and more like himself with each game, leading the NBA in dunks last month and getting touches closer to the rim. After a less-than-ideal start to the season, it looks like the Cavs have their All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year back to form. Should they keep doing what's working, or try to add more to his plate again now that he's producing like he was before?
  • Sam Merrill and Jarrett Allen are still on the mend with their differing (yet similar) hand injuries. How has Cleveland's offense had to adapt? What should the team do to alleviate the missing key pieces?
  • If the Cavs don't follow through on their promises, they will just look like empty words. Should that be the case, could Cleveland have to reevaluate its standing and think about making a move? Anything is possible if the results don't show over the next few weeks.
