The new ratings for NBA 2K27 have dropped, but did they get some of the players on the Cleveland Cavaliers correct?

The new NBA season is about a month and a half away from getting going, and there is excitement all over the league.

With this, that means that the latest version of the NBA 2K series will be coming out too. NBA 2K27 has been released, and fans all over the country will be flocking to pick up the game

Within this, ratings for teams are out, and there have been some questionable ones. Some of this stems from the Cleveland Cavaliers roster, with a few players being rated lower than expected.

Peyton Watson

The first is new forward Peyton Watson, who comes into the season rated as a 79. Watson is coming off another strong season with the Denver Nuggets, and he is seen as one of the better three-and-D wings in the league.

Given his production from the 2025-26 season, Watson should be rated a little higher. Based on everything, giving him an 81 to open the year would have been better.

Watson averaged 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. He has improved every season, and deserves a higher rating here.

Evan Mobley

The second player is center Evan Mobley, who comes in as an 87. Mobley should be closer to a 90 based on his numbers from a year ago.

The big man averaged 18.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and an astonishing 1.7 blocks per game. Mobley has become the defensive anchor for the Cavaliers, and he is a core piece to this group.

But one reason for him only being an 87 could be the decline in his three-point shooting. Mobley went from at least 37 percent over the previous two years to just 29.7 percent this past season.

James Harden

And finally, guard James Harden came in ranked as an 87. While Harden still has the brand attached to him, he is now heading toward the end of his career.

Harden did average 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.7 assists a game with the Cavaliers after being traded. But he may be closer to a 85 now.

This is the one player on the Cavaliers roster that could be a little too high, given his age ad level of production. With Mobley being a 87, Harden is ranked higher than he should be, but the Cavaliers aren't going to complain.

Given that the Cavaliers should be a title contender again next season, the 2K ratings for players should be higher. But there will be chances for the game to correct this throughout the season, and it could give these guys a new chip on their shoulder heading into a crucial year for Cleveland.
