Kevin Durant thinks LeBron James is going home.

Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant believes LeBron James will sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Durant, though, did mention the Philadelphia 76ers as a potential landing spot for LeBron as well.

The 76ers acquired Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics this summer.

The 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves want to sign LeBron, but most people in the NBA believe the basketball legend is going home.

Cleveland assistant general manager Brandon Weems was with LeBron in Ohio a few weekends ago. Weems is one of LeBron's closest friends.

"Let me talk to you about Brandon Weems," LeBron's agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group, said on his podcast. "Brandon Weems is basically LeBron's brother. Now, he worked his own way [up], nobody gave him anything. He's earned to be in the front office of the Cavs. But that is a big feather in the cap [for Cleveland], because of Brandon Weems."

LeBron, as everyone knows, is the greatest player in Cleveland franchise history. In two stints (2003-10, 2014-18) with the Cavaliers, LeBron averaged 27.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks per game. He won two MVPs and one Finals MVP and made 10 All-Star and 10 All-NBA teams.

For the Los Angeles Lakers last season, LeBron averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. He's still an elite offensive player despite being the oldest active player in the NBA.

It would certainly be cool to see LeBron end his career in Cleveland. A starting lineup of James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, LeBron, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen could compete for the championship next season.

The Cavaliers made the conference finals last season, losing to the New York Knicks in four quick games. Adding LeBron could make Cleveland title favorites next season.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Mitchell "would embrace" LeBron signing with the Cavaliers. It's widely believed that Harden and Mitchell have been recruiting LeBron to Cleveland this summer.

LeBron began his NBA career in Cleveland. It only makes sense for him to end his iconic career at home. The King is a four-time MVP, four-time champion and four-time Finals MVP. His No. 23 jersey will be retired by the Cavaliers one day.

We could be getting a decision soon, as LeBron will be at Fanatics Fest on Thursday in New York. He's taping a live episode of his podcast, Mind the Game, with Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton.

LeBron last played for the Cavaliers during the 2017-18 season. Cleveland lost to Durant and the Warriors in the 2018 NBA Finals.
