Cleveland Cavaliers legend LeBron James was unreal during the 2017-18 season.
On the latest episode of his podcast with Hall of Famer Steve Nash, LeBron James opened up about his final season with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017-18.
James told Nash that he felt most complete as a basketball player during the 2017-18 season.
"I felt like I could do no wrong out there on the basketball floor," James said. "Offensively, defensively, I felt no flaws in my game. I felt like every time I stepped out on the floor, I really could do everything I wanted to do. All three levels. Defensively, guard all three levels."
James played in all 82 games for the Cavaliers during the 2017-18 season. He averaged 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 9.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.
Cleveland traded Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2017, so James had to take his game to another level for the Wine and Gold to be competitive. The NBA legend led the Cavaliers to 50 wins.
In the 2018 playoffs, the Cavaliers beat the Indiana Pacers in the first round, the Toronto Raptors in the second round and the Boston Celtics in the conference finals. James averaged 34.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
The Cavaliers got swept by the Golden State Warriors in the 2018 NBA Finals. James averaged 34.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 10.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game against Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
The NBA's all-time leading scorer, James is the best player in Cavaliers franchise history. He will get his No. 23 jersey retired by the organization one day.
James, who grew up idolizing Michael Jordan, is the only player to rank top five all-time in points and assists, the only player to win three Finals MVPs with three teams, the only player with 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 career assists and the only player to score 50,000 points combining the regular season and playoffs.
