It may be time for the Cleveland Cavaliers to make trades.

With the NBA trade deadline coming up next month, NBA analyst Dan Favale of Bleacher Report revealed three trade targets for all 30 teams.

Favale believes the Cleveland Cavaliers should target New Orleans Pelicans forward Herb Jones, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kenrich Williams and Minnesota Timberwolves wing Jaylen Clark.

Cleveland has the most expensive roster in the NBA, but the Wine and Gold are only 19-16 after having the top record in the East last season.

"As the only team inside the second apron, the Cleveland Cavaliers can neither take back more money than they receive nor aggregate salaries," Favale wrote. "They do, however, have the ability to trade a 2031 or 2032 first-round pick and up to two swaps. They also have a handful of mid-end salaries that can open worthwhile one-for-one possibilities.

"Herb Jones would be a dream addition for a team that was playing Evan Mobley at center more than ever before Jarrett Allen missed time with a finger issue. Spacing could be tight inside lineups featuring all three, but the defense would be divine. Mobley's spot-up range and Jones' understated live-dribble decision-making can offset most offensive wrinkles.

"Kenrich Williams' defensive malleability would serve Cleveland well in minutes with Mobley at the 5. He can even play center himself. If his threes are falling, the Cavs could consider using him alongside both Mobley and Allen, too.

"Jaylen Clark isn't doing anything if you're worried about Cleveland's three-point shooting. He's a breath of fresh air if you're looking for a defensive bulldog earning the veteran's minimum who can provide a change of intensity behind Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland."

Jones is making $13.9 million this season, Williams is making $7.2 million and Clark is making $2.2 million.

The Cavaliers are eighth in the NBA in points per game, 17th in points per game allowed, 10th in offensive rating, 14th in defensive rating and 10th in net rating.

If the regular season ended today, Cleveland could be in the NBA play-in tournament as the eighth seed. It may be time for Koby Altman to make some changes to this roster.

After all, the Cavaliers haven't advanced past the second round of the playoffs since 2018.
