The Celtics have several nationally-televised games this season, including four more that will air on the league's channel.
The Boston Celtics will have 27 national television games in the 2026-27 season. As noted by Sports Media Watch, those will include 10 on ESPN/ABC, 10 on NBC properties and seven games on Amazon Prime Video.
But in addition to those nationally televised games, the Celtics will have four more that will air on NBA TV, the league-owned network.
As reported by Bobby Manning of CLNS Celtics, those games are: Nov. 21 at Kings (10 p.m. ET), Nov. 29 at Spurs (4 p.m. ET), Jan. 2 at Portland (10 p.m. ET) and March 27 at the Miami Heat (8 p.m. ET).
That's disappointing for Celtics fans, because while NBA TV is included in packages like YouTube TV, it's not a channel that every person has and requires a paid add-on. And these NBA TV games feature marquee matchups against Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo, meaning there are a good portion of C's fans that will likely miss them.
Interestingly enough, for Celtics fans already paying for NBC Sports Boston, this means there are 31 of 82 games that are on places other than the team's traditional network. It's just another example of fans having to pay more money in order to watch their favorite teams play.
The Celtics open the season on Oct. 20 against the Detroit Pistons on the road. That game will be played at 3 p.m. ET, a rare weekday day game, presumably to make Opening Night an all-day affair.

--Former Celtics assistant coach Kara Lawson, now the head women's basketball coach at Duke, will lead Team USA in the FIBA Women's World Cup, which begins on Friday. Lawson spent one season with the Celtics (2019-20), helping the group get to the Eastern Conference Finals in the COVID bubble season.
The Americans, as they always are in international competition, are favored to win the gold medal. Team USA has won 11 World Cup golds and every Olympic gold medal since 1996. This team features the likes of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers.
The Americans have already clinched a spot in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
