The Celtics could be without two starters in their Wednesday matchup against the Bucks.
The Boston Celtics are off to a strong start to the season and entered Wednesday 5-2 and in possession of the third seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Celtics will be looking to add another win to their strong start to the year following a 109-93 loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday, and they'll have a chance to do so against one of their most notable rivals from recent seasons.
Boston will take on the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at TD Garden in Boston. Unfortunately for the Celtics, they'll possibly be without two of their starters.
Here's a breakdown on the injury report for Boston in its upcoming game against Milwaukee:
Jayson Tatum, questionable
Tatum is listed as questionable for the game due to rest. He missed most of last season with a torn achilles tendon but began the season healthy.
The Celtics' franchise superstar has played in all seven of the team's games this season. He's scored 27 points per contest on 41.8% shooting from the floor (22.9% from 3-point range). He's also averaging 7.9 assists and six rebounds per game.
Payton Pritchard, questionable
The Boston point guard has also played in all seven games for the team this season but has struggled to find his normal shooting touch through the team's first several contests. His status is questionable for the game against the Bucks due to a right shoulder contusion.
Pritchard is averaging 13.4 points on a 40.3% mark from the floor (31% from beyond the arc) in addition to 3.4 assists and three rebounds per contest.
Devin Carter, out
Carter is one of the latest additions for the Celtics after he signed a two-way contract following him being waived by the Atlanta Hawks.
Carter played one preseason game with Boston before coming down with mononucleosis, which has prevented him from making his regular season debut with the team.
Last season, in 38 games (12 starts) with the Sacramento Kings, Carter averaged 8.9 points on a 41.4% clip from the floor (26.3% from beyond the arc), 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
Upcoming schedule for the Celtics
The game against Milwaukee will mark the first of a five-game stretch for the Celtics against Eastern Conference opponents.
After the game against the Bucks, Boston will play the Charlote Hornets on the road in an NBA Cup group stage game Nov. 6; Milwaukee again on the road Nov. 8; the Philadelphia 76ers on the road Nov. 10 and the Toronto Raptors on the road Nov. 11.
