The head man just joined a group of league legends.

Congratulations are in order for Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, who joined an elite group in NBA history on Monday night as the C's beat the Indiana Pacers at TD Garden.

Per the Celtics on social media:

Congrats Joe on 200 career wins

He reached the mark in 275 games, making him the third-fastest coach in NBA history to do so behind Steve Kerr (238 games) and Phil Jackson (270 games)

Considering that Jackson and Kerr are two of the most decorated coaches in league history, that's a big accomplishment. This year, Mazzulla is playing without his best player as Jayson Tatum continues to recover from a torn Achilles tendon, and he still has Boston at 18-11 and in third place in the Eastern Conference. They are behind only Detroit (23-6) and New York (20-8).

    About Mazzulla

He spent three years as a Celtics assistant before being promoted to the head position in the wake of Ime Udoka's dismissal. Now in fourth season as a head coach, he's gone 200-75 (.727) in the regular season. He's also 33-17 in the playoffs, helping Boston earn the NBA championship in 2023-24.

Still just 37 years old, Mazzulla is already one of the most accomplished head coaches in the league.

    About Jackson

Arguably the greatest coach who ever lived, Jackson spent 20 seasons as a head coach with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. A six-time NBA champion with the Bulls, he also won five titles with the Lakers, coaching some of the best players to ever play, including Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal.

He also served as an executive for the Knicks.

    About Kerr

One of Jackson's former players with the Bulls, he was a fantastic three-point shooter and a five-time NBA champion. In fact, he is the all-time leader in three-point percentage at .454. He won three titles with the Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs.

As a coach, he's led the Golden State Warriors to four NBA championships and two more Western Conference titles. He's coached Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

He's also led Team USA to an Olympic Gold Medal at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

    Up next for the Celtics

The Celtics will be off for the Christmas holiday, but they'll be back in action on Dec. 26 against the Pacers again, this time on the road. Tip off is 7 p.m. ET.
