Here's when the Celtics will be on the mic talking about the new season ahead.
On Monday, the Boston Celtics officially announced that their 2026-27 NBA Media Day will take place on Monday, Sept. 28 at 12 p.m. ET.
This will be the first official chance to see the entirety of the Celtics roster - and coaching staff - together since the end of last season.
With that, there will be multiple points of interest:
1) Introduction to Mitchell Robinson
Robinson, the Celtics' big-ticket free agent acquisition from the offseason, will be in attendance, so we'll get a chance to hear from him. He was supposed to be at an introductory press conference last week, but was unable to attend because of a personal matter.
Robinson signed a three-year deal worth $48 million and is expected to provide an additional option on the interior for Joe Mazzulla's team. It's unclear if he'll start or come off the bench, but he's capable of scoring, defending, and is one of the best rebounders in the league.
2) A chance for Joe Mazzulla to answer more questions
Mazzulla will be in front of the microphone and he'll be able to talk about a bevy of topics that are interesting to Celtics fans:
1) How does he see the big-man rotation working out? Is Robinson going to start, or will it be Neemias Queta? And how do things look for Luka Garza?
2) What about the rookies? Will we get a real chance to see Dillon Mitchell and Chris Cenac Jr. in the preseason, and do we think they have a shot at real minutes?

4) How exactly did he feel about the trade of Jaylen Brown, and has he spoken to Brown since?
3) A chance to speak with Derrick White
While White was one of the best defensive players in the NBA last season, he struggled to find his shot, especially in the postseason. How much work has he put in during the offseason to get his shot back, and was it more about mental reps and confidence, or did he notice something physical with his shooting mechanics?
The Celtics will begin training camp officially on Sept. 29 (Tuesday), and then they'll ready for the first of four preseason games on Oct. 8. The regular season opens up on Oct. 20 when the Celtics visit the Detroit Pistons.
