The Boston Celtics blew out the Milwaukee Bucks 107-79 on Sunday afternoon at TD Garden, improving to 31-18 on the campaign. The disappointing Bucks, who appear headed for a rebuild, are now 18-29 and just 9-17 on the road.
Despite playing without Jayson Tatum, the C's are second in the Eastern Conference as we are now past the nominal halfway point of the season.
Jaylen Brown, who missed Friday's game, led the way with 30 points and 13 rebounds. He added two assists and a steal on 12-of-20 shooting. His 30 points came in 29 minutes, and are an example of the kind of history-making season he is having in 2025-26.

Jaylen Brown vs Bucks:
30 PTS (29 MIN)
13 REB
12-20 FG
4-6 3P
Averaging the 2nd most points per minute ever in a season by a Celtic.
Brown is putting up MVP-caliber numbers and will be in the discussion for the award at the end of the season.
Entering the game on Sunday, he was averaging 29.4 ppg and 6.8 rebounds. That's nearly 10 points above his career average of 19.7 ppg.
A starter in the upcoming All-Star Game, Brown has elevated his offensive game in the absence of Tatum. He has historically taken a back seat to scorers like Isaiah Thomas, Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker and Tatum, but this version of the Celtics is undeniably his.
In addition to his performance, Anfernee Simons had 27 points in the win. He was 10-of-18 from the floor and 6-of-10 from three-point range. Derrick White had 17 and Neemias Queta had 14.
Ryan Rollins led the way for Milwaukee with 25 points while Kyle Kuzma had 16.
The Celtics only have five games left before the All-Star Game, and they'll kick off that stretch on Tuesday night when they travel to Dallas to take on the Mavericks. Rookie Cooper Flagg is the talk of the NBA, averaging 19.8 ppg in his first season.
After that, the Celtics will take on the Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls before the break.
