The Boston Celtics have an important showdown with the New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon (12:30 p.m. ET) as the two teams battle it out for second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
The C's enter play in second at 34-18 while the Knicks are in third at 33-19. Boston is 4.5 games behind the Detroit Pistons while the Knicks are 5.5 games back. Both teams have to think they have realistic NBA Finals expectations, which is clearly part of the reason why the Celtics went out and acquired Nikola Vucevic from the Chicago Bulls earlier this week.
However, before the Celtics battle the Knicks, they made sure to show some love to their friends in Foxborough, with multiple players donning New England Patriots gear before the Pats battle the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET.

And then there's Derrick White, who lost a bet as a Denver Broncos fan, but hey, the Pats will take it.
We generally stay in our lane here at Celtics Roundtable, but hey, it's Super Bowl Sunday. The Patriots went 14-3 in the regular season, winning the AFC East and beating the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans and Broncos in the AFC playoffs.
The Seahawks went 14-3, winning the NFC West and capturing the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. They beat the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs while having homefield.
These two teams famously met in the 2014 Super Bowl, with the Pats winning thanks to the Malcolm Butler interception at the goal line.
The Celtics beat the Heat 98-96 on Friday night in Boston. Jaylen Brown had 29 points to lead the way while Payton Pritchard had 24 off the bench. White had 21 but struggled to a 6-20 from the floor.
Vucevic, playing his first game for Boston, had 11 points in 28 minutes. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out four assists, showing glimpses of what he can bring to the group down the stretch.
After this game against the Knicks, the Celtics will have one more game before the All-Star break. They'll take on the Bulls on Wednesday night (7:30 p.m. ET), and then they'll be off until a Feb. 19 showdown with Golden State.
