With the Patriots off this Sunday after advancing to 9-2 on Thursday Night Football, the stage is set for the Boston Celtics (6-7) to be the main attraction in New England on this football-Sunday.
The Clippers (4-8) may be coming to town in the midst of an extremely disappointing start to their 2025-26 season, but it’s only just slightly more disappointing than the one we’ve seen from Boston through 13 games.
Sure, Boston is coming off of a blowout win over Memphis (4-10) on Wednesday night, but they’re going to have to string together a few more wins like that in a short span of time for fans and media to buy-in to this team meeting its ceiling and competing for a top five seed in the Eastern Conference.
With all eyes on them from the Boston sports world on Sunday, it’s a perfect opportunity for the green to show up and show out. Take advantage of a Clippers team playing without Bradley Beal and Kawhi Leonard. Win two in a row. Get to .500. Start stacking Ws.

Missed any of Wednesday night’s win over Memphis? Here were some takeaways from my colleague Brady Farkas for Roundtable:
The Boston Celtics rolled over the Memphis Grizzlies 131-95 on Wednesday night at TD Garden. The Celtics controlled the game throughout, outscoring the Grizzlies in every quarter.
Boston was certainly aided by the fact that Ja Morant didn't play for Memphis, but they got a dominant performance regardless of who was on the other side.
Five different C's players were in double-figures, including Payton Pritchard (24), Derrick White (20) and Jaylen Brown (19). Pritchard was 8-of-15 from the field and 5-of-10 from three-point range, a spot he's really struggled in thus far for the Celtics (6-7 overall).
As noted by Justin Turpin of WEEI, the +42 was the highest +/- of Pritchard's career.

Payton Pritchard was a +42 tonight, the highest mark of his career.
Pritchard, 27, is taking on a bigger role this season in the absence of Jayson Tatum (injury), Jrue Holliday (trade) and Kristaps Porzingis (trade). He's averaging 15.3 points per game and 5.2 assists, but he is still just shooting 28.1 percent from three, even with his big barrage on Wednesday.
The team will hope that this is a turnaround moment for him, because they'll need him if they want to make noise in the Eastern Conference without Tatum.
After the game, Pritchard joked that he got a haircut before the game in order to switch up the vibes. He also said that he went into the game with a mindset to attack and push the pace and tempo.
Drafted in the first round (2020) out of Oregon, Pritchard is now in his sixth year in the NBA. He's averaged 9.3 ppg to this point and was a big part of the Celtics title run in 2023-24, averaging 9.6 ppg that season.
He's also seen himself grow and mature over the last few years. It wasn't that long ago that Pritchard wanted out of Boston because he wasn't getting the kind of role he wanted. Now? He's an NBA champion and a key leader on this roster.
