Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons were talking on 'The Ringer' on Sunday night.
Over the last several weeks, we've chronicled a lot of the reasons that the Boston Celtics might want to, and might not want to, trade for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
If the Celtics were to trade for Antetokounmpo, they'd be getting a bona fide big man at a time when Brad Stevens has said he wants the team to improve at the rim. And they'd also be getting a future Hall of Famer that would pair with Jayson Tatum and Payton Pritchard to give the Celtics options at all three levels.
Of course, on the other side, Antetokounmpo is aging and will be 32 next season. He's also been often injured over the last several years, and he's slated to be very expensive should the Celtics sign him to a long-term deal. Do the Celtics want to (likely) give up Jaylen Brown to acquire that profile?
But while it's been fun for fans to play armchair general manager, do the Celtics really actually want to acquire him? According to Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons, maybe not. Simmons said on Sunday night that he doesn't think the Celtics are in on a possible deal and Lowe said he hasn't sensed any great urgency to make the deal, either.
It continues to feel like the Miami Heat are the most likely suitors for him, but maybe the Oklahoma City Thunder could get involved after realizing they need an answer for Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.
No matter what happens, we should get some clarity in the next 2.5 weeks or so, as Milwaukee has said they want to have the situation resolved by the NBA Draft, which begins on June 23.

We already knew that the Celtics worked out St. John's star Zuby Ejiofor during this pre-draft process, but now we know that the Celtics have also worked out his teammate - forward Dillon Mitchell.
According to reports, Mitchell has also worked out with the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat.
The Celtics have also been linked to a pair of UConn standouts: Big man Tarris Reed Jr. and forward Alex Karaban. Both players helped lead UConn to a national championship game appearance this season, but they lost to Michigan. Karaban actually played in three title games in four seasons, winning two. He's a Southborough, Mass. native.
