The Pats will head to the Bay Area this weekend, but not before they took in one last C's game.
The New England Patriots will depart for the Bay Area this weekend as they look to capture the franchise's seventh Super Bowl title. After winning the AFC Championship against the Denver Broncos, the Pats will take on the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl, to be played Sunday, Feb. 8. The Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams to win the NFC championship game. Both teams won their respective divisions in the regular season.
However, the Pats couldn't leave for the West Coast without one last showing in front of the hometown fans. Several players were in attendance for Friday night's Boston Celtics win over the Sacramento Kings at TD Garden.
Standout defensive back Christian Gonzalez was there, as were popular receiver DeMario "Pop" Douglas and rookie Kyle Williams.
It's always a cool scene when New England athletes support each other and Patriots players are often seen as Celtics games, and they are always given huge reactions.
As for the game itself, the Celtics took care of business against the woeful Kings, winning 112-93.
Sacramento is one of the most disappointing teams in the league at 12-38 while the C's just keep humming along at 30-18. They won this game without Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard stepped up, scoring 29 points in 33 minutes. Derrick White also dished out nine assists.

Speaking of disappointing, the Celtics will take on the reeling Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game will be aired nationally on ESPN. The Bucks are 18-28, currently out of the playoff picture, and are likely on the verge of trading superstar Giannis Antetokoumpo, who is also injured.
After that, Boston will have just five games left until the All-Star break. They'll see No. 1 overall draft pick Cooper Flagg (Mavericks) on Feb. 3 before facing old coach Ime Udoka (Rockets) on Feb. 4. Then they'll see the Miami Heat (Feb. 6), New York Knicks (Feb. 8) and Chicago Bulls (Feb. 11).
Brown will start in the All-Star Game for the first time. The reserves for the All-Star Game get announced on Feb. 1.
