Mike Conley Jr., Paul George and Mitchell Robinson will all be on the roster next season.

With the NBA's new league year officially open, the Boston Celtics made a flurry of moves on Monday.

They completed the reported trade of Jaylen Brown, sending him to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George and four future draft picks, and they also signed guard Mike Conley Jr. and big man Mitchell Robinson.

As noted by the Celtics on Tuesday, Robinson will wear No. 4, while George will wear No. 13 and Conley will wear No. 44.

About George

A 16-year veteran of the Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers and 76ers, George is a nine-time All-Star, a six-time All-NBA selection, a four-time All-Defensive team member, and he also won the steals crown in 2018-19.

A career 20.5 ppg scorer, he's now 36 years old. He averaged 17.3 ppg for the 76ers last season, but he only played 37 games. He has played 60 games or less in six of the last seasons, meaning there's real concern about his age and health in this deal.

He has the opportunity to still impact the lineup, but he can't be counted on at this stage.

About Robinson

The 28-year-old Florida native is an eight-year veteran of the New York Knicks, where he blossomed into a very solid player. He appeared in 60 games this past season, starting 16 of them. He averaged 5.7 ppg in just over 19 minutes, finishing eighth in the Sixth Man of the Year voting.

He played in all 18 Knicks playoff games, averaging 4.8 ppg as the Knicks won the title against the San Antonio Spurs.

As noted by Celtics Insider Bobby Krivitsky, by wearing No. 4, Robinson will join the likes of Isaiah Thomas, Jrue Holiday, Anfernee Simons, Nikola Vucevic, Chauncey Billups, Nate Robinson, Tony Battie and Jason Terry.

About Conley

Now 38 years old, Conley was the No. 4 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Ohio State. Over his 19-year career, he's played with the Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves. A reliable and durable player, he's a one-time All-Star, and he was also a member of the 2012-13 All-Defensive team.

A career 13.6 ppg scorer, he only averaged 1.7 ppg for Minnesota in 2025-26. He also only played 18.4 minutes per game, so it's unclear exactly how big a role he'll be able to provide the Celtics moving forward, but he should serve as good guard depth behind Payton Pritchard.

He's a career 38.7 percent shooter from three-point range and he's also an 82.6 percent shooter at the foul line.

The Celtics went 56-26 this past season, earning the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.
