There had been rumors about Curry potentially being a member of the C's in the future, but that looks like it won't be happening now.
You can stop dreaming about Steph Curry ending his career with the Boston Celtics now.
The guard, who is a future Hall of Famer, has signed a contract extension with the Golden State Warriors. Terms of the contract were not released by the Warriors, but Spotrac reports that its a two-year deal worth $116 million. It will carry him through the 2028-29 season.
The odds of Curry joining Boston were never particularly high, but some people thought that Curry could have been acquired as part of a Jaylen Brown trade this summer. And even after Brown was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, there was a thought that maybe Curry could have been acquired via free agency when he was scheduled to hit it after this upcoming season.

Let's be honest. While the idea of Curry joining the Celtics would have been exciting, he belongs in Golden State.
One of the best players in NBA history, Curry is a 17-year veteran of the Warriors, and this deal will give him an even 20 with the organization. Now 38 years old, Curry is a 12-time All-Star, an 11-time All-NBA selection, a four-time NBA champion, a two-time MVP, a two-time scoring champion, as teals champion and an NBA Finals MVP.
A career 42 percent 3-point shooter, he's the all-time leader in free-throw percentage at 91.2 percent. He's led the league five times in the category. He's also the NBA's all-time leader in 3-pointers per game made (4.0) and attempted (9.4).

As for the Celtics
Well, they are about to get back to work, as training camp begins on Tuesday. After that, they'll ready for the start of the preseason (Oct. 8) and the regular season (Oct. 20).
Boston is coming off a season in which it finished 56-26 and earned the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the 76ers and ultimately traded Brown to the 76ers for Paul George and multiple draft picks.
There are several individuals/outlets picking the Celtics to have a solid regular season, but I personally see the C's as the fifth or sixth-best team in an emerging Eastern Conference, behind the likes of Philly, the Knicks, Cleveland, Detroit and maybe Toronto.
