The Los Angeles Clippers have made some major changes to their roster over the past couple of weeks, mainly the moves of trading both James Harden and Ivica Zubac, moving them in separate trades to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers.
Additionally, they converted Jordan Miller to a standard contract on a two-year deal, with the former second-round pick establishing himself as a key rotation piece. Therefore, the Clippers had some open two-way roster spots to work with, deciding to add a familiar face for Miller and a talented shooter.
According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Clippers have signed Sean Pedulla and Norchad Omier to two-way contracts. Pedulla comes over from the Portland Trail Blazers' G-League team, the Rip City Remix, and Omier comes from the Cleveland Cavaliers' G-League team, the Cleveland Charge.
Pedulla has been stellar in the G League this season, averaging 23.5 points on 44.6% shooting across 22 games this season. Along with his 6.8 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals, Pedulla could be an interesting addition to the Clippers, as he's set to turn 24 years old in October.
Omier has also been strong this season in the G League, averaging 20.0 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on 60.9% shooting from the field. Undersized for a center at 6-foot-7, he could have a pathway to NBA minutes if he continues to improve defensively and unlock his three-point shooting.
Omier and Pedulla went head-to-head in college when Pedulla was at Virginia Tech, and Omier was at Miami. Omier also played alongside Jordan Miller for one season, reaching the Final Four in 2023, where they lost to the UConn Huskies.
The other Clippers two-way spot was freed up from Kobe Sanders, as the second-round pick from the 2025 NBA Draft has been sensational, earning a handful of starts this season.
Looking at the Clippers' roster now, TyTy Washington Jr. is the third two-way player alongside Pedulla and Omier. Now with Sanders and Miller on standard contracts, the Clippers have more players at their disposal to use this season, as Pedulla could bring value as a scorer and Omier as a big man in case of injury.
With the Clippers set to have a handful of free agents potentially in the 2026 offseason, Omier and Pedulla could have a chance at earning a roster spot, just as Miller and Sanders did, if they can play well in any opportunities they get with the NBA team the rest of the season.
