
Will Los Angeles Clippers star Darius Garland play against the Oklahoma City Thunder?
The Los Angeles Clippers fight for playoff position when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
The Clippers picked up a 116-103 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. They have won two straight and seven of their last nine. They are eighth in the West with a 41-38 record. They have clinched a spot in the play-in tournament. They are a game ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers and two games behind the Phoenix Suns.
The Thunder also played on Tuesday, taking care of the Los Angeles Lakers, 123-87. They have won six straight games and have just one loss since February 27. They are on top of the Western Conference with a 63-16 record, three games better than the San Antonio Spurs. They can clinch the first seed with a victory on Wednesday.
The Thunder are 2-0 in the season series, but they haven't played since December 18, a 122-101 victory for OKC. The Thunder won the first game, 126-107 on November 4.
Los Angeles Clippers Injury Report
Darius Garland is OUT with left toe injury management. Garland played 28 minutes against the Mavericks, finishing with 22 points, four assists, one rebound, and one steal. He hasn't missed a game since March 19, which was also a back-to-back situation. He has sat in back-to-back situations since returning to the lineup on March 2.
Isaiah Jackson is still OUT with a right ankle sprain. He's been out since March 27. On April 2, it was reported that Jackson would be reevaluated in one week. He's played 17 games for the Clippers since being traded by the Indiana Pacers at the trade deadline. He's averaging 7.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks in those 17 contests.
Bradley Beal is OUT after undergoing season-ending surgery for a hip fracture in November. Beal played in just six games this season, averaging 8.2 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
Yanic Konan Niederhauser is OUT after suffering a right Linsfranc ligament tear that will keep him out for the year. He suffered the injury on March 4 against the Indiana Pacers. He finishes the season averaging 4.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.3 assists in 41 games.
Oklahoma City Thunder Injury Report
Thomas Sober remains OUT after undergoing ACL surgery in the offseason. The 15th overall pick in 2025 NBA draft will have to wait until next season to make his NBA debut.
Jalen Williams is off the injury report after missing Tuesday's game against the Lakers. The Thunder made the decision to rest Williams, who has battled a hamstring injury throughout the second half of the season, on the front end of the back-to-back. He will return to the starting lineup alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lu Dort, Chet Holmgren, and Isaiah Hartenstein.
