Los Angeles Clippers Star James Harden Ruled Out Against Philadelphia 76ers cover image

Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden won't play against his former team on Monday.

The Los Angeles Clippers return home to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.

The Clippers bested the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night, winning 117-93, bouncing back from a tough loss against the Denver Nuggets. The Clippers are 4-1 in their last five and remain the hottest team in the NBA over the last month. They'll play two games at home before hitting the road ahead of the All-Star break.

The 76ers have won three straight, picking up a 124-114 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans in their last contest. They now begin a five-game West Coast road trip.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams. The Sixers scored a 110-108 victory over the Clippers back on November 17.

Los Angeles Clippers Injury Report

The Clippers will be without James Harden, who is listed as OUT for personal reasons.

Harden did not play against the Suns on Sunday.

Harden is enjoying his best scoring season since his time in Houston, averaging 25.4 points per game. He remains one of the league's best playmakers, dishing 8.1 assists per game.

He's appeared in 44 games this season.

Derrick Jones Jr remains OUT with a right knee sprain. He's been sidelined since January 3. There is no timetable for his return.

Bradley Beal (left hip fracture), Chris Paul (not with team), and TyTy Washington (G-League) all remain out. Beal and Paul won't play again for the Clippers this season.

Philadelphia 76ers Injury Report

Joel Embiid is PROBABLE for the Sixers with right ankle injury management. Embiid has played in three straight games and missed only three games in all of January. Philly went 10-4 in games in which Embiid played during the month.

In 28 games this season, Embiid is averaging 26.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.

Paul George won't suit up against his former team as he is OUT due to a league suspension for violating the league's anti-drug policy. George took responsibility for the failed test, saying he had taken improper medication as he sought treatment for his mental health.

George is averaging 16 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 27 games this season.

Kelly Oubre Jr remains AVAILABLE and will continue to wear a knee brace as he recovers from a left knee injury. Oubre Jr has played in 14 straight games after being sidelined from November 17 to January 5.

Charles Bassey, MarJon Beauchamp, and Johni Broome are all QUESTIONABLE on G-League assignment.
