Harden's sudden absence and Leonard's ankle injury create a void as Beal returns against the Suns.

The Clippers are depleted, but can they steal a win against Phoenix?

The Los Angeles Clippers have released their injury report ahead of Wednesday's contest against the Phoenix Suns, and it has a surprising development that could significantly impact the struggling team's performance.

The Clippers will look to bounce back from their 3-4 start with a road matchup in Phoenix against a Suns team sitting at 3-5.

Harden's Sudden Absence Raises Questions

Entering the day listed as OUT for personal reasons, Harden's absence marks an unexpected absence for the Clippers as they try to find their footing after a rough start to the season.

The 11-time All-Star has been crucial for Los Angeles this season, averaging 23.3 points, 8.6 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game through seven games while shooting very efficiently from beyond the arc.

Harden has been one of the most consistent players in the league through the early season, posting multiple double-doubles and serving as the team's primary facilitator.

Without Harden, the ball-handling and playmaking duties will fall heavily on the newly returned Bradley Beal, who just came back from his own injury absence.

Leonard Remains Sidelined

Kawhi Leonard continues to be out with a right ankle sprain, missing what would be his second consecutive game. The two-time NBA Finals MVP has been exceptional when healthy this season, averaging 24.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game through five appearances.

Leonard has been playing heavy minutes (33.5 per game) and shooting 50.5 percent from the field with a true shooting percentage of 62.5 percent, so having him out has been extremely detrimental to the Clippers.

Given that head coach Tyronn Lue has emphasized the importance of having multiple playmakers on the floor, missing both Harden and Leonard severely limits the Clippers' offensive capabilities.

The two stars have combined for nearly 48 points per game this season, and their absence is a massive hole in Los Angeles' scoring and playmaking.

Beal's Timely Return

The silver lining for Los Angeles comes with Bradley Beal's return to the lineup after missing one game managing his right knee surgery, and the three-time All-Star will be desperately needed with both Harden and Leonard unavailable.

Through his limited action this season, Beal has averaged just 5.5 points per game in 20 minutes of action as he works his way back from offseason knee surgery.

However, asking Beal to carry the offensive load while still rounding into form is not ideal for the 32-year-old veteran guard.

Suns Welcome Back Key Pieces

On the Phoenix side, the injury report brings encouraging news. Dillon Brooks has been ruled OUT with a core muscle strain, marking his third consecutive missed game.

The defensive-minded forward has averaged 19.3 points in his limited action this season but will need more time to recover from the injury.

However, the Suns are eagerly anticipating the potential debut of Jalen Green, who is listed as probable with a right hamstring strain.

The 23-year-old guard hasn't suited up yet for Phoenix since arriving in the blockbuster Kevin Durant trade and has been dealing with the hamstring issue since training camp.

Green's potential debut would give the Suns another explosive scoring option alongside Devin Booker.

The Clippers' Depth Will Be Tested

Without two of their three stars, the Clippers will need significant contributions from their role players and Chris Paul will likely see increased responsibilities as the primary ball-handler as well.

Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kris Dunn could also see expanded roles in the backcourt rotation, while Ivica Zubac will need to anchor the paint against a big Phoenix frontcourt.

Tip-off in Phoenix is set for 9:00 p.m. EST on Thursday.
