The Los Angeles Clippers look to build on their win streak when they welcome the Houston Rockets to the Intuit Dome on Tuesday.
The Clippers are coming off a 115-96 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, their second straight victory after dropping two straight. They are 3-3 in their last six contests. They have two games remaining before the All-Star break.
The Rockets snapped their two-game losing streak in their last game, knocking off the Oklahoma City Thunder, 112-106. They are 4-2 in their last six, and also have two games left before the break.
This is the third meeting of the season between the two squads. They are 1-1 coming into this game, with the Clippers winning 115-113 on December 11 and the Rockets winning 128-108 on December 23. They won't have to wait long to meet again as they'll remain in Houston to play on Wednesday.
Good news for Clippers fans as Bennedict Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson are not listed on the injury report, which means they will make their debut for the team on Tuesday.
They were acquired from the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Ivica Zubac at the NBA trade deadline. Neither had an injury designation, but they were waiting for the trade to officially go through before being taken off the report.
Mathurin is averaging 17.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 28 games for the Pacers this season. He is shooting 43% from the field and 37% from three.
Jackson has played in 38 games for the Pacers, averaging 6.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and just under one block per game.
Fans will have to wait a little longer to see Darius Garland make his Clippers debut as he is OUT with left toe injury management.
Garland was acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for James Harden. He has not played since January 14. In 26 games this season, he's averaging 18 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.
Bradley Beal is OUT after undergoing surgery for his left hip fracture. He will not return this season.
The Rockets come into this game as healthy as they are going to be at this point in the season.
Steven Adams (left ankle surgery) and Fred VanVleet (right knee ACL repair) are both OUT. Adams underwent surgery on January 28 and won't return this season. VanVleet has not played this year after undergoing surgery prior to the start of the season.
