The Los Angeles Clippers are riding the high of a two-game win streak and with just a handful of games left in the regular season, head coach Ty Lue still sees room for improvement and some housekeeping that needs to be done.
The biggest piece of house cleaning for the Clippers is to just keep getting the team acquainted with themselves as Darius Garland in particular is the newest member of the team after being acquired at the deadline.
With a handful of off days spread out across the schedule lately, Lue will be using those rest and practice days to help the team promote their chemistry and get better in synch while they also work on making fundamental improvements.

We've got to make sure our new guys are up to speed on what we're trying to do and just make sure we're sharp offensively and defensively. We've still got a ways to go, so we've got to take advantage of these days that we have," Lue said.
Chemistry is perhaps the biggest trait that any team needs to have to ensure long term success, and it's even more important for a young team like the Clippers are becoming.

It's still only been just a handful of games since the trade deadline and as Garland in particular ramps up his minutes and gets a better understanding of how the Clippers operate on the offensive end, the team has found more and more of a groove.

The prospect of the playoffs is looking increasingly out of reach and now is the time for the Clippers to shift gears and focus on a development, rather than going all out for a playoff push.

Lue seems aligned on that mission and with development becoming a stronger and stronger point of emphasis, the rest of this season looks poised to finish strong and build toward a bright future.
