The Los Angeles Clippers have a nearly complete roster ahead of the start of the regular season, but that doesn't mean there aren't some gaps for them to address. 

The biggest gap in the roster concerns the Clippers' point guard depth. While the front line of their point guards looks promising with Darius Garland and Kris Dunn standing out as the top two options and 2026 fifth-overall pick Keaton Wagler available as another option, they don't have many reliable options beyond that, especially with Jordan Miller out for the foreseeable future. 

But the Clippers could remedy that deficit by adding a former Dallas Mavericks point guard who was recently made available. 

Ryan Nembhard was waived by the Charlotte Hornets in late September, putting him into the open market. While Nembhard will have no shortage of suitors, the Clippers should absolutely be one of them. 

Nembhard didn't have many opportunities with the Mavericks in his rookie season, averaging 6.6 points, 5.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 19.5 minutes per game while playing outstanding defense, Nembhard has a high ceiling for who he can be as a player. 

The Clippers will have stiff competition when it comes to enticing Nembhard to their side, as the Denver Nuggets are another team reported to be interested in the young point guard, but being able to sign Nembhard would be a perfect addition to what the Clippers are builidng.

Nembhard aligns perfectly with the youth movement that the Clippers are generating and should they be able to sign him and build off of his potential, Nembhard could not only be a reliable depth piece, he could grow into being the point guard of the future for Los Angeles. 

But before all of that can happen, the Clippers need to actually pursue Nembhard. While the Clippers' front office may be in a certain state of chaos, they do have agreed upon leadership that can make decisions for the franchise. Going after Nembhard now is an investment in the future that the Clippers need to make. 

Adding more young talent and prolonging their window of development is exactly what the Clippers need to do to continue the rebuild despite their recent setbacks induced by the NBA's punishment and in that regard, Nembhard fits the bill. 

The Clippers will have a few weeks before the season begins to add Nembhard and further fortify their depth and doing that would be a small, but ideal move for Los Angeles to make.
