The Memphis Grizzlies opened Summer League play on Saturday in Salt Lake City, and they did so with a bang.

Memphis, using a loaded Summer League roster, took care of business with a 111-74 victory.

In total, 13 players got into the game for the Grizzlies, with 10 getting legitimate minutes.

Prized rookie Cameron Boozer looked good in his first action with his new team. In 24 minutes, he had 15 points, four rebounds and four assists while shooting 7-for-11 from the field and 1-for-3 from deep.

Other top performers among those who started for Memphis were Taylor Hendricks (15 points in 12 minutes), Olivier-Maxence Prosper (17 points) and Javon Small (11 points and nine assists).

Rising sophomore Cedric Coward, the only other starter, wasn't very efficient, but he did finish the game with 11 points and eight boards.

Off the bench, some of the top performers for the Grizzlies were Carson Cooper (11 points) and Jahmai Mashack (12 points).

With Summer League action now underway for Memphis, the team has to be prepared for a bit of a sprint in the next couple of weeks.

The Grizzlies will have the day off on Sunday, but they'll then play a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday. All in, they're playing three games in four days in Salt Lake City.

From there, they will have a short break before getting started in Las Vegas for more Summer League action. Their first game in Vegas will come on Friday.

The Grizzlies, like all other teams, are guaranteed at least five games in Las Vegas, so Memphis will play a minimum of eight Summer League games in total.

With so much talent on their roster, the Grizzlies can certainly look at the lengthy Summer League slate as a chance to give opportunities to a range of players who could use the reps.

Their roster includes a wide variety of players when it comes to experience, as some are rookies who were selected in the 2026 NBA Draft, some are rookies who went unpicked this year, and some are players who have already spent one or more seasons at the NBA level.

The Grizzlies can now enjoy the rest of their weekend before they're back in action on Monday against the Utah Jazz. While Summer League is about development and evaluation more than anything else, it certainly doesn't hurt to win, and Memphis is off to a strong start following its dominant showing on Saturday.
