A shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies squad fell 147-101 to the Utah Jazz on Friday as Jahmai Mashack recorded a triple-double in a lopsided season finale tuneup.

The Memphis Grizzlies, playing with six available rotation players, dropped a 147-101 decision to the Utah Jazz on Friday at Delta Center — a blowout that had as much to do with exhaustion as it did the Jazz's sharpshooting.

Memphis dressed just six players Friday, with 10 on the injury report — a reality that made a competitive result nearly impossible from the opening tip. Utah shot 56.4% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range, piling up 45 fast break points on a Grizzlies team that had nothing left in the tank. Utah's lead reached 55 points.

Jahmai Mashack played all 48 minutes and recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 assists. Dariq Whitehead led Memphis in scoring with 21 points on 8-of-18 shooting. Toby Okani added 20 points, and Adama Bal contributed 18 points and 4 assists, but the Grizzlies shot just 37.6% from the field and 21.2% from beyond the arc as a unit.

Rayan Rupert finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds in 39 minutes, while Lucas Williamson also logged all 48 minutes and posted 13 points and 13 rebounds.

For the Jazz (22-59), Blake Hinson led all scorers with 30 points on 12-of-19 shooting. Bez Mbeng recorded a triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, and Kennedy Chandler added 26 points and 10 assists. Ace Bailey contributed 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Oscar Tshiebwe grabbed 22 rebounds to go with 16 points. John Konchar also recorded a triple-double off the bench with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in 35 minutes.

Utah outscored Memphis 86-54 in points in the paint and 45-21 in fast break points. The Jazz had three players record triple-doubles on the night.

Memphis head coach Tuomas Iisalo acknowledged the limitations his team faced heading into the game.

"We knew we had limited bodies going into this game," he said. "Guys gave everything they had, but you could see they were extremely fatigued after having already played heavy minutes against the Clippers and Denver."

Iisalo also addressed the final stretch of a difficult season.

"We have one more game left, and hopefully we'll have enough guys to compete in that one," Iisalo said.

The Grizzlies entered the contest missing Ja Morant (left elbow UCL sprain), Zach Edey (left ankle and elbow surgery recovery), Santi Aldama (right knee surgery recovery), Jaylen Wells (right great toe surgery recovery), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (right fifth finger surgery recovery), Ty Jerome (left ankle sprain), Scotty Pippen Jr. (right great toe surgery recovery), Brandon Clarke (right calf strain), Walter Clayton Jr. (left hip soreness), and Taylor Hendricks (right thumb sprain).

The Grizzlies end the 2025-26 regular season on Sunday against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center.
