With the NBA Draft approaching, the Memphis Grizzlies have been linked to Cameron Boozer in multiple mock drafts; however, recent medical reports and Darryn Peterson's transparency regarding health concerns could boost him to the No.1 pick in the draft, according to an NBA draft analyst.

The NBA Draft will kick off on June 23 and will conclude on the 24. Boozer has been projected on numerous mock drafts to be taken at No.3 by the Grizzlies. However, if Peterson is taken with the No.1 draft pick, there is a possibility the Jazz will select Boozer second because of his durability. 

On NBA Today, ESPN's Draft expert, Jeremy Woo, explained the possibility of Peterson being taken No.1 overall, considering that he will only work out for the Washington Wizards, who hold the No.1 draft pick.

"The strategy itself may come as a little bit of a surprise, but the fact that Peterson is a strong candidate here, clearly at number one, is not," said Woo on June 19. 

"I think all season we've talked about him. He came into the year number one on my board. He may end at number one on my board because the medical concerns that teams have had as he dealt with cramping during the season at Kansas, those concerns seem to have been assuaged by his medicals," he added. 

If the Wizards take Peterson No.1 overall, the rest of the top five selections could be altered. While most mock drafts have Boozer going No.3, Bill Simmons, host of The Ringer, believes he will go second.

"I've been thinking a lot because I do think Dybantsa is going to go first," said Simmons.

"Regardless of how we try to talk, the Boozer thing is that I just think he's going to go first. I think Danny is such a wild card at second, and there's no way to predict it. You think it's going to happen with Peterson, but I think there are too many red flags. I don't think he's going to stay away from Peterson," he added.

If Washington goes with Peterson, Memphis could find itself in a situation where it may have an opportunity to draft AJ Dybantsa if Boozer goes second. 

It has been rumored that Dybantsa has no desire to be drafted by the Wizards with the No.1 pick. He has been linked to Washington with most mock drafts that have been published.

If the Grizzlies draft Dybantsa, they will have a dominant big man who can change a game and possibly be a franchise candidate.
