The Memphis Grizzlies jumped three spots in Sunday's NBA Draft Lottery and will pick No. 3 overall in the 2026 NBA Draft from a 37.2% top-four chance.

CHICAGO — The Memphis Grizzlies jumped up three spots in Sunday's 2026 NBA Draft Lottery and will pick No. 3 overall in June.

Memphis came into the night with the sixth-best lottery odds and a 37.2% chance at landing in the top four. The Grizzlies got it.

The Washington Wizards won the No. 1 pick. The Utah Jazz landed at No. 2. The Chicago Bulls also jumped into the top four at No. 4, coming up from 3% odds. The Brooklyn Nets, Sacramento Kings, and Atlanta Hawks (via New Orleans) all dropped a spot behind Memphis and Chicago.

Memphis is coming off a 25-57 season, its worst in nearly a decade, under head coach Tuomas Iisalo. Injuries to Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Zach Edey wrecked the year. The Grizzlies also moved on from Desmond Bane and Jackson Jr. across the past two seasons, breaking up the core that reached the Western Conference Semifinals in 2022.

BYU's AJ Dybantsa and Kansas' Darryn Peterson are the consensus top two prospects in the class. Adam Finkelstein's post-lottery mock for CBS Sports has Dybantsa going to Washington at No. 1 and Peterson to Utah at No. 2.

That puts Duke's Cameron Boozer and North Carolina's Caleb Wilson in play for Memphis at No. 3. Both have been projected as top-five picks for months.

Tayshaun Prince, the Grizzlies' vice president of basketball affairs, served as Memphis' on-stage representative. Zach Kleiman, the team's president of basketball operations and general manager, was in the drawing room.

Prince was on the stage for Memphis in 2024, the last time the Grizzlies appeared in the lottery. They picked ninth that year.

The Grizzlies have never held the No. 1 pick. Including the Vancouver years, the franchise has picked No. 2 five times. Sunday's result is the highest Memphis has picked since taking Morant at No. 2 in 2019.

The 2026 NBA Draft is June 23-24 in Brooklyn.
