Expectations for Keshon Gilbert

The Hawks recently signed Keshon Gilbert to a two-way contract, which feels like it's not being discussed enough. A highly impactful player at the college level and already having shown flashes at the professional level, he could actually end up being a sneaky contributor the rest of this season. What are your expectations for Gilbert?Mar 5, 2026

McCollum deserves more credit

Since acquiring CJ McCollum, he's been one of the most underrated players on the Atlanta Hawks. I thought TJ did a great job breaking down his impact, which is still not being talked about enough nationally. McCollum obviously isn't part of the longterm plans, but he's doing great things right now as this team develops. What has your impression been of him?Feb 28, 2026

Ideal Hawks draft pick if top three?

If the Atlanta Hawks land a top-three pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, they'll officially land one of the players in that top-tier trio. But who would be the best fit? I think it's undoubtedly Darryn Peterson, given he plays in the backcourt and is a face of the franchise type player. As good as AJ Dybantsa and Cam Boozer are, there's some redundancy in skillset. Who is your ideal draft pick for Atlanta?Feb 12, 2026

Kuminga redundancy is overblown

Most of the backlash the Atlanta Hawks got when trading for Jonathan Kuminga was around the redundancy of him and Jalen Johnson. Both play in the forward spot. But I think that's a big overblown. They both have very different skillsets and are different archetypes of players, despite playing much of the same position on the floor. There's absolutely a world in which they can play alongside each other in the starting lineup to bring size and versatility.  Having too much young talent is a good thing. And the Hawks aren't ready to contend now, so why not try this out and see how it goes? I am a fan of the move. If it doesn't work, oh well. Winning games isn't at the top of the priority list right now anyway.Feb 6, 2026

Who is your dream trade deadline acquisition for Hawks?

The Atlanta Hawks are seemingly in a position now in which they don't need to make a big splash move. Even after trading away Trae Young, this team clearly isn't going to be a contender this season. But just because they won't make a splash doesn't mean they can't be buyers. Who would your dream trade deadline acquisition be for Atlanta? Mine? Jeremy Sochan.Feb 4, 2026
