Through four games against the Knicks, Johnson is averaging 19.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. Decent line, but a clear dip from his All-Star regular-season averages of 22.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game.
New York's plan against him hasn't really been a secret. They're daring him to shoot, sagging off, and basically saying "prove you can punish us from outside." So far, he hasn't. Johnson is shooting 28.6% from three in the series, and once the pace drops in the half-court, that gives defenders one less thing to worry about.
What do you think about his performance so far this series? What do you need to see from him in Game 5?
