This blockbuster NBA trade idea sends Jaylen Brown, Myles Turner and AJ Green to the Atlanta Hawks.
NBA analyst Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report has created a blockbuster trade idea where the Atlanta Hawks acquire Jaylen Brown, Myles Turner and AJ Green.
Here is the mock trade:
Milwaukee Bucks receive: Onyeka Okongwu, Jonathan Kuminga, Zaccharie Risacher, Corey Kispert, No. 8 pick (via ATL), No. 27 pick (via BOS) and 2028 first-round pick (via ATL, CLE or UTA)
Boston Celtics receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Buddy Hield
Atlanta Hawks receive: Jaylen Brown, Myles Turner and AJ Green
The Celtics are interested in acquiring Antetokounmpo and the Hawks have trade interest in Brown.
This massive trade idea from Buckley makes everyone happy.
"Brown, an Atlanta native, would certainly qualify as a five-time All-Star who just earned All-NBA second-team honors for the second time," Buckley wrote. "Atlanta's defense might be championship-ready, but its half-court offense needs to catch up. It might cover that ground and then some in this deal, adding a self-sufficient scorer in Brown, a floor-spacing center in Turner (who'd help with this team's lack of interior size) and a knockdown movement shooter in Green."
The Hawks could start Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Green, Jalen Johnson, Brown and Turner next season. That's a deep starting five that could compete for a championship.
For the Celtics this season, Brown averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. He will make $57,078,728 next season.
For the Bucks this season, Turner averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. He will make $26,584,164 next season.
Finally, Green averaged 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game this season for Milwaukee while shooting 41.9% from beyond the arc. He will make $10,044,644 next season.
The Hawks lost to the New York Knicks in the first round of the 2026 playoffs in six games. They are close to being a championship contender. They just need more weapons around Johnson and Alexander-Walker.
This trade idea would make Atlanta a legitimate threat to win it all next season. It will be fascinating to see if the Hawks' front office gets aggressive this offseason and pursues blockbuster trades.
