The Miami Heat are expected to make a big move this offseason. There should be plenty of stars available in trade discussions. The obvious big name is Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. The 10-time All-Star has been included in trade rumors all season and Miami reportedly was close to getting a deal done at February's trade deadline. However, a trade for Antetokounmpo would need to include a hefty amount of compensation and there may be another star available who may not cost as much while still fulfilling the star criteria.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been the subject of trade rumors throughout a middling season. The Clippers parted ways with James Harden at the trade deadline, sending him to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for guard Darius Garland. Many believed Leonard could have been dealt back in February but he stayed put on the roster and quietly had one of the best seasons of his career, averaging a career-high in points.

A big concern regarding Leonard has been his health. The seven-time All-Star has only surpassed the 60 games played marker twice throughout his six-season career with the Clippers. If he can stay healthy, he has proven to be one of the best two-way players in the entire NBA.

The Heat have a lot of questions heading into the offseason. Right now, it is unknown what the future holds for 2025 All-Star Tyler Herro. Despite his success, Pat Riley and the front office declined to give him a contract extension in October when he was eligible. He missed a good portion of the season and now will enter next season as a contract year. There is a strong possibility he is dealt this offseason and he could presumably be a major piece of a potential deal for Leonard.

The Heat's current starting small forward is Andrew Wiggins, who has a player option this offseason. The option is worth $30 million and it is expected he will opt into his contract and spend another season in Miami. He has been reliable but if Miami has the opportunity to improve by adding Leonard, it may be something they can't pass up.
