Ja Morant is one of the more talented players on the trade block this season. After Trae Young was dealt by the Atlanta Hawks this week, Morant could be the next domino to fall.

Bleacher Report released an article, highlighting five potential destinations for the disgruntled All-Star. The Heat were listed as the No. 1 destination with a mock trade package consisting of All-Star guard Tyler Herro and a lottery-protected 2029 first-round pick for Morant.

"This feels like a classic 'who says no?' or 'which side would have to include a pick?' trade," the article wrote. "Morant probably has a little more raw talent, but both have struggled with injuries throughout their careers, and Herro's outside shooting makes him feel like a more modern player."

Morant's injury concerns along with the off-the-court issues in terms of multiple suspensions could make a trade risky for any franchise. However, he has shown enough talent to garner a solid haul in terms of compensation.

"But between Norman Powell, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Andrew Wiggins, Miami is relatively well-off on the wing," the article added. "Morant would bring an infusion of talent and star power at the point. As for the Grizzlies, Herro (who turns 26 this month) isn't much older than Edey (23) or Cam Spencer (26 in April), who's already stepped into a bigger playmaking role during Morant's absences. He boosts Memphis' shooting profile and gives it another secondary playmaker who can make life a little easier for up-and-comers like Cedric Coward and Jaylen Wells."

The Heat could definitely part with Herro as the team still has not extended the All-Star guard. His extension deadline was in Oct. and Pat Riley decided to hand out money to Nikola Jovic instead. Herro is one of the last remaining players from the 2023 Finals team and parting with him could be a bitter pill to swallow but switching things up by adding a playmaker like Morant could work wonders for the Heat's offense.

The Heat's offense to start this season was fast-paced and brought some energy thanks to the strong play of Norman Powell. In recent weeks, the offense has not fully looked the same while the defense has remained solid. If the Heat want to contend for a solid playoff spot this season, they may need to shake things up offensively. Adding Morant would do just that.
