Miami Heat basketball is officially back.

And so are the underwhelming losses and strong fan reactions. The Heat fell to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night, already fueling the fanbase's doubt about the team's competitive chances.

The main narrative of the game: limiting Kel'El Ware in place of Nikola Jovic. Ware once again played only 14 minutes and was out for a critical sequence late in the game.

Fans are desperate for a victory again, as they haven't experienced a basketball win since their play-in victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Bam Adebayo had 15 points and 12 rebounds, a disappointing stat line in many fans' eyes. There was at least some recognition for the newly acquired Norman Powell, who had 28 points and nine rebounds in his Heat debut.

"We really didn't learn shit from last year, 4th quarter choke," one fan tweeted. "1- Get Jovic's overrated ass off my fucking team. 2- Can someone fucking tell Bam to wake tf up? 3- START WARE 4- Way to ruin Norman Powell’s debut. F*** all of you, just tank for a high pick because we ain't winning s***."

The disappointment stems from the lack of change. Fans will only be satisfied if the on-court product is drastically different from last year's borderline play-in team. But as long as Miami continues to look like a below-playoff squad, the fanbase can't help but relegate their squad to the one they saw against the Cleveland Cavaliers just months earlier.

The Heat play the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

MIAMI HEAT'S TERRY ROZIER ARRESTED FOR GAMBLING

The Miami Heat officially kicked off their season last night, in Orlando, against the Magic. They lost the game, but showed promising signs of what the team can look like. However, tragedy has struck in the blink of an eye.

It's been reported by multiple outlets that Heat guard Terry Rozier was arrested early this morning as part of an FBI sports betting situation. The Eastern District of New York and FBI Director Kash Patel will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. Eastern Time to announce the arrests from the investigation.

It all started earlier this year, when Rozier was first brought up in a gambling investigation. The FBI was looking at suspicious betting activity surrounding a game in March of 2023, while he was on the Charlotte Hornets.

The league conducted its own investigation, but didn't appear to find anything worthy of punishment. However, the FBI has continued with its work and may have found more.

The Heat were supposed to travel today to Memphis for Friday's game against the Grizzlies. They will have to go without the 31-year-old.
