The Miami Heat have a big offseason ahead. There are multiple names expected to be included in trade discussions such as Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant. However, there is another multi-time All-NBA talent who could be moved this offseason.

Anthony Davis has been dealt twice throughout the past two seasons. He was obviously the main returning piece for the Dallas Mavericks in the now-infamous Luka Doncic deal but he was also dealt again this season, this time to the Washington Wizards. Even though he has been moving around a lot, NBA insider Chris Haynes claims he could be on the move yet again prior to next season.

Heat Central posted a trade proposal via X, sending Davis to Miami. The trade proposal is:

Heat receive: F Anthony Davis, G Jaden Hardy

Wizards receive: G Tyler Herro, F Andrew Wiggins, 2029 1st round pick

For the Heat, adding Davis could be a big risk. Although he has been one of the better big men for the last decade, the team has Bam Adebayo and Kel'el Ware holding down the fort in the frontcourt. Davis only played in 20 games this season, not even appearing in a game for Washington. The Wizards also traded for Trae Young earlier this season and it would be surprising for them to move on from Davis without even testing out their new dynamic duo.

Herro has been one of the Miami's best scorers over the past couple of seasons and especially had a breakout campaign during the 2024-25 season, earning his first All-Star nod. However, he missed a lot of time this season and Pat Riley has been reluctant to hand him a contract extension. He is only under contract for one more season and Miami may want to deal him while he still has a solid amount of trade value.

Andrew Wiggins has a $30 million player option this offseason. He is expected to exercise the option but even if he does, he could be an easy salary to use in a deal for a star-level player like Davis. Wiggins, the No. 1 overall pick in 2014, has never been an unrestricted free agent at any point of his career. He has always been a solid, foundational player and now that he's viewed as a longtime veteran, those traits have become more reliable.
