The Miami Heat will broadcast non-nationally televised game on Local 10 WLPG after spending the past few years on Fan Duel Sports Network
The Miami Heat will have a new wrinkle this season.
And no it's not the addition of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. At least not yet.
On Monday, the Heat announced they will broadcast games on Local 10 WLPG.
“We’re very excited to be on Local 10 this upcoming season,” said Michael McCullough, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Heat in a statement. “Last season was a great experience not only for the HEAT and Local 10, but the fans as well. The increased viewership proved the strength of this partnership and the benefit of having the local reach of WPLG was unmistakable. We’re looking forward to taking this to the next level this upcoming season and giving HEAT Nation a truly special viewing experience.”
According to the press release, the Heat games "will also be available on Local 10’s new free streaming platform, LOCAL 10 Plus Platinum. The platform allows fans to watch games on smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs, along with additional Heat content and specials."
“We are thrilled to carry a complete season of Miami HEAT basketball for what should be a very exciting 2026-27 season,” said Bert Medina, WPLG President & CEO. “No matter where our viewers want to watch the Miami HEAT on cable, satellite, over-the-air antenna or our free streaming app, our mission is to make sure they have easy direct access to every game on our air.”
IS GIANNIS COMING?
For the past several weeks, a handful of NBA insiders have labeled the Miami Heat as the favorite to land Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
You can add TNT's Chris Haynes to the list. He recently said the Heat will have the biggest splash of the offseason. The comments came during an appearance on the Kevin O'Connor podcast.
“Before, if you would have asked me this a week ago, I would have said Miami," Haynes said. "... I just felt like this was the year that they really had to go for it all and get a big fish. And when I'm talking about a big fish, I'm talking about Giannis Antetokounmpo.”
