A cryptic social media response from Katya Elise Henry fuels rumors of a homecoming trade to Milwaukee as the Miami Heat aggressively pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo to overhaul the roster.

Miami, Fla. – At this point, the worst-kept secret has to be the Miami Heat pursuing Giannis Antetokounmpo. It’s been reported by numerous outlets that everything except for two-time All-Star Bam Adebayo is available to be offered in a potential package, including Tyler Herro. The 26-year-old guard has been mentioned in rumors since joining the Heat in 2019, but this time, it seems that an end to a seven-year tenure is approaching.

In a TikTok video posted earlier this week by Katya Elise Henry, Herro’s girlfriend, responded to a comment saying, “That’s what it looks like. Tyler is getting traded to Milwaukee.” She directly replied with, “Fun! We love Milwaukee that’s the home town. God has planned.”

At the end of Henry’s comment was a smiley emoji.

Herro was born and raised in Milwaukee, along with two young brothers, Myles and Austin. As a four-star recruit from Whitnall High School, he originally committed to the University of Wisconsin before flipping and signing with the Kentucky Wildcats. Herro went on to average 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals as a freshman.

The Milwaukee native then declared for the 2019 NBA Draft–selected with the No. 13 pick by the Heat.

Herro showed flashes of being a cornerstone franchise piece early on, especially as a rookie. In Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics–from the Orlando Bubble–he scored 37 points on 66.7 percent shooting, six rebounds, and three assists in 36 minutes off the bench.

Following the 2021-22 regular season, Herro was named the Sixth Man of the Year. He averaged 20.7 points (the most among reserves), five rebounds, and four assists in 66 games. Despite being adamant about an increased role, Herro proved to be a viable bench piece. In the following four years, he’s been a primary starter, and the Heat have finished in the Play-In Tournament.

Herro was eligible to sign an extension worth up to $149.7 million last summer, but there was no agreement by the deadline. Afterwards, he went on to play in only 33 games this past regular season.

Given the need for a superstar and injury history, all signs point towards a divorce. It was reported on Thursday that the Heat “do not care” about how Herro feels about getting traded.

The Bucks would prefer to move on from Antetokounmpo before the end of the upcoming NBA Draft–leaving the clock ticking on Herro’s time in South Florida.
