Are the Miami Heat a potential destination for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Miami Heat are going to be a major player this offseason during NBA free agency.

One of the possible targets is Milwaukee Buck star Giannis Antetokounmpo, a one-time champion and two-time MVP. The problem is the Heat's roster enough for Antetokounmpo to want to play there.

According to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, the answer is no. He said Antetokounmpo wants to be in a position where he can win another title.

Mannix doesn't think the Heat are close to winning.

“They are going to be a major player for Giannis this summer," Mannix said. " ... Is getting Giannis on that team moving the needle that much? Giannis is focused on winning. I don’t think Miami gives you the best chance to win. I would think HOU, MIN maybe. New York if you only have to give up Towns. Teams that have the best chance to win given what Miami would have to give up to get Giannis, I don’t put them there.”

Then again, we'll have to wait and see what Pat Riley has in store.

WADE DELIVERS MESSAGE TO HEAT FANS

The Heat have a huge offseason coming this summer.

After missing the playoffs for the first time since 2019 and being a middle-tier team for most of the last three seasons, the fans are getting restless. They want team president Pat Riley to return to being "The Godfather" during free agency, back when he used to lure top talent to Miami.

From Shaquille O'Neal to Chris Bosh to LeBron James, Riley has earned a reputation for landing "whales," as he likes to call them. While fans are complaining, Heat legend Dwyane Wade has a message to them.

Stay patient.

Wade basically told the fan base to chill and let Riley, general manager Andy Elisburg, CEO Nick Arison and owner Micky Arison do their thing.

"Pat, Andy, Micky, Nick, if they see an opportunity, they're going to strike," Wade said on his WY Network. "That's what they're going to do. But they're not going to strike just because you, as a fan, is impatient and you want them to strike. They've been to the Finals seven times since I was drafted. They're fine."
