Imagine Stephen Curry on the Charlotte Hornets next to Kon Knueppel.
The Charlotte Hornets have been urged to trade for Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry this offseason.
"CuffsTheLegend," who is friends with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, thinks the Hornets should pursue a Curry trade this offseason.
Curry was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. His dad, Dell Curry, calls games for the Hornets and is one of the best players in Charlotte franchise history.
Steph Curry has won four championships, two MVPs and one Finals MVP with the Warriors, who are no longer a championship contender. With his career almost over, Curry should request a trade from Golden State and finish his basketball story where it started.
Look, the odds of Curry playing for the Hornets are very, very, very, very low. But again, no one thought the Dallas Mavericks would ever trade Luka Doncic.
The Warriors won't trade Curry unless he requests a trade, so this is different from the Doncic situation. But hey, Michael Jordan played for the Washington Wizards and James has played for three teams. Not every NBA legend stays in one place.
Steph Curry will make $62,587,158 next season in the final year of his contract. The future Hall of Famer could retire from the NBA after next season. A farewell tour with his hometown Hornets would be fun to watch.
The greatest shooter in NBA history, Steph Curry has played in 39 games this season. He's averaging 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 46.8% from the field, 39.1% from beyond the arc and 93.1% from the free-throw line.
Charlotte would be a dangerous team with Steph Curry, LaMelo Ball and Kon Knueppel leading the way. The Hornets would probably have to trade Brandon Miller to the Warriors to get Curry.
The NBA's all-time leader in 3s, Steph Curry holds career averages of 24.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. He is 38.
