One analyst thinks Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller is the 90th-best player in the NBA.
Frank Urbina of HoopsHype ranked Miller 90th in his top 100 players list for the 2025-26 season.
"Miller is an athletic swingman with explosiveness near the basket, possessing the ability to make tough shots, rebound and create a bit, as well as make plays defensively to earn his team extra possessions," Urbina wrote. "Boasting All-Star potential, 2025-26 will be an important campaign for Miller, who is still just 22 years old."
Miller played in only 27 games last season. The swingman underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist in January. He averaged 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 40.3% from the field, 35.5% from beyond the arc and 86.1% from the free-throw line before going under the knife.
The Hornets selected Miller with the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Alabama. Miller, 22, has career averages of 18.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists in the NBA.
Charlotte's two best players are Miller and LaMelo Ball. Miller and Ball proved last season that they can be a dynamic duo. Ball averaged 30.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7.6 assists next to Miller, who averaged 19.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists alongside LaMelo.
The Hornets went 7-13 last season when Ball and Miller were in the lineup. Charlotte's front office and fans hope that record is much better this season.
"6'9'', 6'10'' guard. So whenever you got that out there, it's amazing for real," Ball said about playing with Miller again. "I mean, he can do it all. So it's amazing to have that out there."
The Hornets haven't made the playoffs since 2016. For that drought to end this season, Ball and Miller will have to stay healthy and put up All-Star numbers.
