The Charlotte Hornets are receiving trade interest in one of their forwards.

The Charlotte Hornets have been one of the most active teams this offseason through the draft, trades, and free agency.

In the draft, the Hornets added two young pieces to the roster with the selection of Hannes Steinbach with the 14th overall pick and Christian Anderson with the 18th overall pick.

Charlotte then made the shocking trade to send star guard LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid, a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round picks swaps, and three second-round picks.

The Hornets then re-signed guard Coby White on a three-year, $74 million deal. While it's been a flurry of moves, Charlotte may not be done yet.

ESPN insider Shams Charania has now reported that forward Miles Bridges is receiving "a ton of interest" around the league.

Charania went on to state, "They already got some trade calls in on [Naz Reid], but the plan is right now to keep him. This is a team that could still shift the roster around a little bit if they want."

Keeping Reid makes sense as he is a talented player and was a valuable piece they received in the Ball trade. Reid played well in the 2025-26 season for the Timberwolves, averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, a steal, and a block per game. The 26-year-old stretch big shot 45.6 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from three.

If they want Reid to start at the power forward position, it would make sense for Charlotte to move on from Miles Bridges.

Bridges is coming off a solid season for the Hornets, as he averaged 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, shooting 46 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from behind the arc.

The 28-year-old forward is entering the final year of his contract, making $22.8 million. He is a quality scorer, and with interest in him around the league, Charlotte could capitalize and receive a good return.

Hornets general manager Jeff Peterson is retooling the roster around Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller, which could make Bridges the next piece on the way out.
