Charlotte has a few players listed ahead of the game against Boston.
The Charlotte Hornets are getting ready for their second NBA Cup Game on Friday, with the team taking on the Boston Celtics.
So far this year in the NBA Cup, the Hornets are 0-1, having lost to the Washington Wizards the last time out. Charlotte is also a -16 in the point differential, making this game against Boston even more important.
Overall on the season, the Hornets hold a record of 3-5, with the team having lost five games in a row. Charlotte will be trying to take down the Celtics in this game, who come into the matchup 6-2 on the year.
However, the Hornets will be entering the game with a few key players listed on the injury report. Charlotte has two players listed as questionable for the game, with their status to be updated closer to tip-off, while two players remain listed as out.
Forward Kon Knueppel is out with a hamstring injury after aggravating this issue in his first game this season the other day. Additionally, forward Grant Williams is also out with a right hamstring issue as well.
As for the questionable players, center Moussa Diabaté is dealing with a right quad issue that could keep him out. Guard Dennis Schroder is also questionable as he deal with left thigh soreness.
After a strong start to the year, the Hornets have come back down to earth a little, but this game against Boston could be huge. If Charlotte could get the win, it would not only stop the bleeding, but it could help get the team back on track.
Boston will poise some problems for this team, with them having two stars on the roster for the Hornets to deal with. Forwards Jayson Tatum and Paul George can both score in different ways on the floor, while also being able to play good defense.
The Hornets are going to have to make sure that they can limit the damage from both players, forcing others to beat them during the game. Players like Brandon Miller and Naz Reid are going to have to step up for Charlotte to get the win.
Miller is coming off a two-for-15 shooting night last time out, so he will surely be ready to break out against the Celtics. Tip-off for the game between the Hornets and Celtics is scheduled to take place at 4:00 p.m. PT/7:00 p.m. ET at Spectrum Center in Charlotte.
