The Charlotte Hornets are expressing interest in a talented wing ahead of the NBA Draft.
The Charlotte Hornets have an important draft ahead as they hold the 14th and 18th overall picks.
Ahead of the draft, NBA analyst Jake Fischer revealed that a prospect linked to the Hornets is Baylor wing Cameron Carr.
In the 2025-26 season, Carr earned All-Big 12 Honors, averaging 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 37.4 percent from three.
He is an intriguing wing who could be impactful off the bench for Charlotte. His shooting and scoring would give them another punch on offense, and he would fit well alongside LaMelo Ball's playmaking.
Ball is coming off a productive season for the Hornets, as he averaged 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, shooting 40.7 percent from the floor and 36.8 percent from deep.
Chris Jones-Imagn ImagesCharlotte also had two other breakout stars with Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller. Knueppel put together an impressive rookie campaign, averaging 18.5 points per game along with 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists. The 20-year-old was very efficient, shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from behind the arc.
Miller continued to improve his game, as he averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and a steal per game, shooting 43.5 percent from the floor and 38.3 percent from distance.
If the Hornets can add two quality young players to their already strong young core, they could make it to the playoffs in the 2026-27 season.
Charlotte will also try to re-sign guard Coby White in free agency. White played well for the Hornets after they acquired him at the deadline, as he averaged 15.6 points, three rebounds, and three assists per game, shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from downtown.
Carr would complement White well off the bench for Charlotte, providing more offense and shooting.
Charlotte has some major decisions to make this offseason, and it starts on Tuesday night with the first round of the NBA Draft, where the Hornets hold the 14th and 16th overall picks.
