Charlotte Hornets star Brandon Miller has spoken out with a strong message about the team's fan base.

The Charlotte Hornets have been one of the hotter teams in the NBA over the last couple of months. At their current pace, they have a strong chance of working their way into the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

At the time of this writing, the Hornets hold a 39-34 record. If the season were to end today, they would head into the NBA Play-In Tournament as the No. 9 seed in the East.

Granted, they aren't holding a playoff spot right now, but they're playing well enough to earn one.

Brandon Miller has been a huge part of Charlotte's impressive run. He has taken his game to a new level in year three and is growing into a legitimate NBA star.

In 56 games played this season, Miller has averaged 20.3 points per game to go along with five rebounds and 3.5 assists. He has also shot 43.3 percent from the floor and 38.8 percent from three-point range.

Following the Hornets' big-time win over the New York Knicks on Thursday night, Miller spoke out with a strong message about the team's fan base.

“I gotta give another shoutout to the home crowd," Miller said. "I've never heard a New York game like this where Charlotte fans are cheering louder than the New York fans. So I applaud them."

This is just another sign of the impressive turnaround that Charlotte has been having. It has been awhile since Hornets fans had something legitimate to cheer about. Now, they have one of the top up-and-coming young teams in the NBA to root on.

Only time will tell whether or not Charlotte can make the leap into the NBA Playoffs this season. Miller, along with fellow Hornets leaders LaMelo Ball and Kon Knueppel, have the team looking like a real threat. They feel that they can beat anyone.

Next up for Charlotte will be a matchup at home against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday evening. With a win, the Hornets would move to having an impressive six-game winning streak as the postseason continues to draw closer.
