NBA fans want to see Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball in the 2026 All-Star Game.

The NBA announced on Tuesday that Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball is 12th in the Eastern Conference in the second round of fan vote returns for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game.

Ball is looking to make his second All-Star team. He made his first back in 2022.

Ball has appeared in 26 games this season. He's averaging 19.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game while shooting 41.1% from the field, 37.1% from beyond the arc and 87.2% from the free-throw line.

Over his last 10 games, Ball is averaging 20.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. The Hornets are 5-5 over that stretch and 13-23 overall on the season.

Charlotte beat the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday by a final score of 124-97. Ball finished with 16 points and two assists in 25 minutes.

Don't look now, but the Hornets are only three games back of the Atlanta Hawks for the 10th seed in the East. Seeds 7-10 make the NBA play-in tournament.

Charlotte hasn't made the playoffs since 2016. The franchise has had just one winning record since drafting Ball with the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Many people around the NBA believe the Hornets should trade Ball and Miles Bridges and build around Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel.

It will be fascinating to see if Ball is traded by Charlotte this season. The NBA trade deadline is next month.

After the Thunder game, Ball now has career averages of 20.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. He's third in franchise history in points per game, trailing only Glen Rice and Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning.
