A blockbuster NBA trade proposal sending Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis to the Charlotte Hornets has been created.
NBA writer James Piercey of DallasHoopsJournal created the following trade proposal between the Hornets and Mavericks:

Dallas Mavericks get: Miles Bridges, Collin Sexton, 2027 First-Round Pick (via DAL)
Even though Davis will miss the next six weeks with a left hand injury, the Mavericks are still having trade talks around the future Hall of Famer, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN.
Piercey believes the Hornets should trade for Davis for a couple of reasons.
"When healthy, he is still among the league's most impactful defensive bigs, capable of anchoring a scheme and masking perimeter mistakes," Piercey wrote. "Placed alongside a young offensive core led by LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Kon Knueppel, Davis would not be asked to carry the scoring burden. Instead, he could function as the stabilizing force Charlotte has lacked for years.
"The risk, of course, is durability. Ball, Miller, and Davis all have injury histories, and concentrating that risk on one roster is a gamble. Still, for a franchise that has spent years waiting for the right moment, the temptation to accelerate the timeline may be difficult to ignore."
Davis is averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks per game this season while shooting 50.6% from the field, 27.0% from beyond the arc and 72.8% from the foul line. He's still an elite talent on both ends of the court. He just can't seem to stay healthy.
A 10-time All-Star, Davis is making $54.1 million this season. His agent is Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group, who just so happens to represent Bridges and Sexton.
Multiple reports have stated that Paul's preference is to get an extension done for Davis this offseason when the big man is eligible for a four-year, $275 million contract in August.
Thus far, the Hornets have not been linked to Davis in trade rumors, but Piercey thinks the franchise should consider trading for the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar. AD could help Charlotte make the playoffs this season for the first time since 2016. He's that talented a player when he's healthy.
