The Charlotte Hornets have made a trade with the Chicago Bulls.

The Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls are making a trade with each other.

Charlotte is trading Collin Sexton, Ousmane Dieng and three second-round picks to Chicago for Coby White and Mike Conley.

White played college basketball at UNC. He's averaging 18.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game this season while shooting 43.8% from the field, 34.6% from beyond the arc and 80.5% from the free-throw line.

White is making $12.9 million this season in the final year of his contract.

The Minnesota Timberwolves traded Conley to the Bulls. Conley is averaging 4.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and shooting 32.2% overall, 32.1% from 3 and 89.1% from the foul line.

Conley is making $10.8 million in the final year of his contract. He could get bought out by Charlotte and join a contender.

The Hornets acquired Sexton from the Utah Jazz last offseason. Sexton is averaging 14.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this season while shooting 48.8% from the field, 39.3% from 3 and 87.7% from the foul line.

Sexton is making $18.9 million in the final year of his contract.

The Hornets are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Bulls are in 10th place. Charlotte is currently on a seven-game winning streak. Seeds 7-10 make the NBA play-in tournament.
