

The Charlotte Hornets are trading Tyus Jones to the Dallas Mavericks for Malaki Branham, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN.
Charlotte acquired Jones from the Orlando Magic. Jones is now headed to Dallas.
The Washington Wizards traded Branham to the Mavericks in the blockbuster Anthony Davis deal. Branham is now headed to the Hornets to play with LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, Kon Knueppel and fellow newcomer Coby White.
The Hornets acquired White from the Chicago Bulls for Collin Sexton.
Branham is averaging 4.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game this season while shooting 47.3% from the field, 37.8% from beyond the arc and 82.4% from the free-throw line. He's making $4.9 million.
The Hornets are 23-28. They are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Seeds 7-10 make the NBA play-in tournament. Charlotte is one game back of Chicago for the 10th spot.
